Adrienne Canterna
A native of Maryland, 25 year old Adrienne began dancing at age 3. She is a scholarship graduate of the Kirov Academy of Ballet and a national and international guest artist, choreographer, teacher and judge. In 1998, she was the youngest American ever to win the JR. FEMALE GOLD MEDAL at the Jackson International Ballet Competition at the age of 15. Other prestigious awards inclue "Teen Miss Dance of America" and the "Grishko Award of Excellence in Ballet". She has performed across the USA, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Caribbean. Adrienne has danced with numerous companies including the Washington Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet and was a Principal Guest Ballerina with the Universal Ballet in Seoul, Korea for their productions of "Don Quixote", "The Nutcracker" and "La Bayadere". Adrienne danced Le Corsaire pas de deux with international ballet star CARLOS ACOSTA at Le Gala des Etoiles in Montreal, Canada. She can be seen in the motion picture "Step Up" & has been featured in many TV specials including "Placido Domingo's Tribute to the Washington Opera & the hit Swiss show "Benissimo". Adrienne is the Associate Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer of Rasta Thomas' "Bad Boys of Dance" & is the choreographer of the international hit dance show, "ROCK the Ballet".
Ashley Canterna
A native of Maryland, 22 year old Ashley Canterna is a scholarship graduate of the Kirov Academy of Ballet and winner of the 2000 Junior Youth America Grand Prix. Ashley was also awarded the Silver Medal, the highest medal awarded that year, at International Ballet Competition in Varna, Bulgaria. In 2002, she received the title “Miss Dance of America” and was named as one of the “25 Dancers to Watch” by DANCE magazine. Ashley competed in the 2002 USAIBC in Jackson, Mississippi with partner Danny Tidwell, where she received the prestigious "Jury Award". She has been a featured soloist throughout the United States, Europe, Canada and the Caribbean. Ashley is currently a member of American Dance Artists and Pretty Girls of Dance. She is in high demand as a guest artist, teacher, award-winning choreographer, judge and director. Ashley can most recently be seen in the motion picture "Step Up". Ashley's student Derek Dunn won the Jr. Youth America Grand Prix in NYC 2008. She is the Director of the Maryland Festival Ballet.
Jaimie Goodwin
Jaimie Goodwin is a contemporary, lyrical, and jazz dancer with training in contemporary, pointe, and musical theatre and 12 years of training in tap, ballet, and jazz. She started dancing at 7 years of age and trains with Denise Wall, mother to SYTYCD season 3 runner up Danny Tidwell and season 2 runner up Travis Wall, who has been her dance partner for 5 years. Jaimie herself was in the Top 10 of season 3 on SYTYCD and toured the USA. Outside of dance, Goodwin likes to write, and wants to author a book about her mother's life and struggle with cancer to benefit a breast cancer fund set up in her name. In the future, she would like to keep dancing professionally, get into the film industry and act. In 2008, she secured a dancing role in the Disney film High School Musical 3. Jaimie currently resides in LA & continues to tour with Rasta Thomas' ROCK the Ballet.
Zola Williams
20 years old and from Bowie, Maryland, Zola began her dance training at Spotlight Studio of Dance. She has won many awards including the Maryland Distinguished Scholar and the Washington Post Music and Dance Scholarship Award. Zola has recieved many titles including Miss Showbiz, Miss Footloose and placed in the top 10 for New York City Dance Alliance's Outstanding Dancer of the Year. Zola graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadlephia and was a company member of Eleone Dance Theater & American Dance Artists. She is currently performing in "The Lion King" in Las Vegas.
Michelle Combs
Michelle Combs is a dancer/choreographer from Severn, MD. In 2005, she performed as a Radio City "Rockette" in New York City. She has won numerous regional and national awards through competitions as well as the Maryland Distinguished Scholar award for the Arts. Michelle was hired by Debbie Allen to perform in "Dreams" and "Pearl" at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. In the summer of 2004, Michelle assisted Joe Lanteri at the Jazz World Congress in Costa Rica. For three years, she traveled throughout the country with New York City Dance Alliance (NYCDA) assisting choreographers such as Mia Michaels. She is also a proud member of American Dance Artists and Pretty Girls of Dance, directed by Adrienne Canterna. Michelle is currently teaching and choreographing for numerous companies across the country.
Allyson Kelly
20 year old Allyson Kelly studied for two years at the Kirov Academy of Ballet, where she recieved many opportunities including the chance to dance in Debbie Allen's production of "Brothers of the Night" at the Kennedy Center. She then moved to Los Angeles, CA to attend the Debbie Allen Dance Academy. This past year she danced and toured the world with Dwight Rhoden & Desmond Richardson's Complexions Contemporary Ballet. Allyson is a world famous "Rockette" for the "Radio City Christmas Spectacular" in NYC.
